In the 1960s, Buford Lay founded Lay Machinery, selling industrial metal fabrication equipment throughout the United States. Many of those older Cincinnati shears, Wysong machines, and fabrication systems are still operating today — and every once in a while, Darron Lay still comes across a machine originally sold by his grandfather decades ago.
In 1980, Jim Lay founded Lay Mechanical Maintenance Company, focusing on industrial machinery repair, fabrication equipment service, and preventative maintenance for sheet metal equipment throughout the United States.
Darron Lay joined his father in 1983 and continues the family tradition today as owner/operator of Lay Mechanical Maintenance Company.
